He did not disobey His parents. He simply stayed behind to talk with the religious leaders and answer their questions.
When his parents returned and found Him after much searching, they expressed their anxiety over His being missing. Jesus very kindly and respectfully said to them "Did you not know I would be in my Father's house?"
He was simply saying that as the Son of God His mission on was the salvation of souls and the temple would be a very likely place to find Him.

I agree with you. But you have to realize, Jesus was perfect and without sin, and we are imperfect and drawn to sin. But I agree that we do need more tolerance. It's hard to balance religion against emotion. What I mean by that is, I am Christian, and I want everyone to be saved. But I also have to follow Jesus' example and remember that I still must tolerate those who are different or terrible sinners. So it's a thin line to walk, but whether or not someone has religion, we all still need to learn to tolerate each other's differences and love each other, even if we can't agree. Don't you think?

Scorpio,
They did not expect a 12 year old son to be in the Temple in a discussion with the Priests. I doubt that a any other 12 year old would be able to do so. The Jewish Priests were all amazed also. Since they were Jewish and HE was not told to stay away from there, HE did NOT sin! What HE did was considered as UNBELIEVABLE! Have a nice week.
PS... Read, Study, and Obey GOD'S WORD.
Thanks,

No, check out Hebrews 4:13. He is also called the SPOTLESS lamb of God. Meaning without defect of sin. Jesus is the only one to do so.

1. Joseph and Mary were NOT Jesus' parents. As Jesus (According to Christian theology) was the Son of God, Joseph and Mary were merely guardians on Earth.
2. Joseph and Mary lost track of Jesus. They didn't tell him not to Go to the Temple.
3. When Joseph and Mary found Jesus, He admonished them, reminding them that they should have known where He was.
According to Christian teaching, Jesus was god, and therefore incapable of sin.

God was Jesus's father, and he was obeying Him. Mary and Joseph were more his "caretakers." And anyway, when they found him, he came with them again, he didn't disobey them. Anyway, isn't it normal that children wander off? If my son went off to look at something interesting in a store, I wouldn't consider that disobedience, it's just being a child.

You are assuming his parents told him not to wonder off. He may have just gotten lost and decided to wait at the temple for his parents to find him oh and set the Pharissis strait at the same time. He also said to Mary did you not know I would be about my fathers work? So he was actually obeying his father in heaven request.

--THERE IS no indication that there was error on Jesus part as a young man, before God or man , as indicated here:
(Luke 2:51-52) “. . .And he went down with them and came to Naz′a·reth, and he continued subject to them. Also, his mother carefully kept all these sayings in her heart. 52 And Jesus went on progressing in wisdom and in physical growth and in favor with God and men.”
--IF YOU NOTED "he continued subject to them", shows he never left that boundary, and had favor of God, his father and men!
--THUS HIS LIFE in totality could be described as so stated:
(1 Peter 2:21-23) “21 In fact, to this [course] YOU were called, because even Christ suffered for YOU, leaving YOU a model for YOU to follow his steps closely. 22 He committed no sin, nor was deception found in his mouth. 23 When he was being reviled, he did not go reviling in return. When he was suffering, he did not go threatening, but kept on committing himself to the one who judges righteously. . .”

Where does it say he disobeyed his parents? I think you are confusing something you saw in a movie with the bible.
