oats and oatmeal are a great way to start the day at any age. in fact, many kids now are getting obese and having heart problems and diabetes really early in life, which could be prevented with eating healthfully with foods including oatmeal.. oatmeal can also be jazzed up with whatever you'd like to put in like fruit, nuts, spices, etc.

It's excellent for EVERYBODY.
Most likely you've only seen old people eat it becausei n general people eat more chemically enhanced crap now. But rest assured, I've been eating it since I was a little kid, and I'm still only thirty, not sixtysix. I just have a very healthy cardio. system, as will your nephew. I try to get my kids to eat it a few times a week.

Are you talking about oatmeal? That is one of the healthiest foods out there. Of course it is okay for kids to eat. I grew up eating oatmeal for breakfast.

My mother made hot oatmeal for most breakfasts. As a healthy adult, I still eat oatmeal. It's not just for old people.
