I have been on the lookout for a REAL man for about 5 years but have failed, thus far to find one.

The criteria is this:
Male, over 5ft 10, over 37yrs of age, SINGLE, (ie, not living with ex spouse or dangling her by a thread), kids ok, own house or flat, a job, clean , tidy, short hair, no facial fur and fun..material possessions irrelevant.

Where can I find such a man? Any ideas?

Insecure. Good name. I have actually stated "material possessions irrelevant" do you understand that sentance? The reason he must have his own place is because I don't want him shacking up with me... get it. I am a very independant woman and have stood on my own two feet all my life.

I did not say OWNS his own house. He just must have his own place to live in. What is it with you men? None of you have anything, material that I want, or can not get for myself.

| know what you mean when you say a real man, but I think its next to impossible to find one who deals with their 'baggage' well, but the same can be said for women. My problem is I have very little baggage so the men I met seem to think that I'm the one with the problem! Can't win

Why the issue with hair? Good luck finding him, just be willing to accept people for who they are. Thats a start, and hope they have the grace to treat you the same back

You can have mine if you want, with the way our relationship is going he could be free very soon!

He is:-

6ft
41 years old
May be single soon
Hes got 3 kids
Will probably get our house
Hes got a job
Hes not mega tidy but he is clean (housewise that is)
He has a shaved head
He has some stubble sometimes if hes too lazy to shave
He likes to think hes fun

But beware!

Dont have any kids or want any kids as he is quite happy with his own 3
Be prepared to have no money as the CSA and ex drain all his
His ex is a psycho who when drunk and single constantly phones up hassling him
He constantly farts even in front of family and friends
He has an obsession for trying to go back to his youth and do things that he really shouldn't be doing at his age
Hes very selfish and would rather do something, go somewhere or buy something he wants than what you want
He is a police officer

If all these are acceptable to you then let me know and if things go Pete Tong then hes yours! Good luck!

Edit:- Oh go on Sparkly... you will be doing me a real big favour! Hes going very cheap! Lol

I have a boyfriend of 3 years like that...except he is 9 years younger. They do exist.

But he wasn't like it when I meet him. Being in a good relationship made him confident and he changed his attitude to many things. He's still the same person i fell in love with, but he's grown up.

If you are saying you want a REAL man, then I think you better ask yourself why you haven't got one. Maybe they don't like your uncompromising attitude. I'm not having a go...I just know a few women who feel the same as you who are going to end up missing out because they think men like that are already finished articles when they meet them. Trying to save you another 5 years of bitter disappointment.

Try speed dating and leave your check list at home and just ask yourself who you could see yourself snuggling up on a sofa with. What good is a house going to be if he's not in it with you. What good is it if he has a great job and wont take a day off work to look after you when you have gastroentinitis.

Have a bit more compassion for men. they need more encouragement, not nagging. They want wives not a mother.

stop searching!! the right, in your case real, man will come along when you aren't on the lookout. he might be passing you by without you noticing because you're too busy forming someone in you head that no man might match.

good luck.

Why does he have to be over 5'10". I am definitely REAL but 2" shorter than what you are asking for.

Maybe you should lower your expectations (literally)?

Mind you, I am not available!
