Unless the tag says "dry clean only"....

I have washed shirts that have been dry cleaned with no problems.

I watched a dry cleaner owner on t.v. say that the only thing you can not wash is garments with structures such as suits, or lined garments.

Put in washer with cold water, gentle cycle, then lay flat to dry, or flip over a rod to dry.

I do this with silk, wool, everything except mentioned above.

Suits and items as such, they have kits to put in the dryer, it is a type of dry cleaning.

Did you know that he said when you send clothes that do not need dry cleaned, shirts... they mix with other peoples clothes to wash?

If ever I find I have accidentaly bought something that needs dry cleaning, I just chuck it in the machine. No problems so far. Life is too short for dry cleaning.
