I really want to be a director or filmmaker but idon't know what college to go to.I asked on of my teachers at my school and he said "I dont know but try one in New York n California." Please help.

UCLA is very good! It is in Los Angeles, California. Go to their site and look into it. It is hard to get into though. If you do not get into it as a freshman, try again as a junior. Go somewhere else for your first 2 years, perhaps get an A.A. if that option is available, then transfer as a junior.

NYU is highly regarded. Most of the big California schools are excellent. And for an out-of-the-way alternative, Wright State University (near Dayton Ohio) has produced quite a few successful indie producer-directors.

I know NYU and UCLA have very good programs.I would also focus on the other aspects of film making such as makeup,set design,lighting,sound, so you'll have training in all of these.
