The low-lifes at my company do it better and are more efficient. They leave enough coffee in the pot just to cover the bottom (technically it's NOT empty), so it's not mandotory to waste energy making a new pot. Some people will just hit the start button a second time with the same grounds (coffee looks like tea). Others just put a fresh bag on top of the old grounds – coffee is now 1.5X stronger. The real lazy ones will put a new filter and grounds in the coffee maker and wash out the pot, but NOT turn it on. Pressing the start button is to much of an energy drain...

because my husband can't make a pot of coffee, he depends to much on me to make it!!! ha! I even explained to him how to make it!

That's a reason I like to go out to coffee-it's THEIR job to keep it full & there's free refills.
