It depends if your wife/girlfriend wants that you keep them you should not shave them otherwise shave them. If unmarried or dont have gf then do as you like it. As simple as that

I don't even know what made me come and answer this question, but I have something to share since this is more related to health anyway.....I know for a fact that a total shaving is more hygienic because the pubic hair carries some dirt with them too especially if the person does not regularly wash, for men, maybe it will make them look sexier but not a bushy one or a jungle look like one, even pubic hairs should be trim down or at least shaven"nicely"..hehehe, while women, it is not because of religion anymore because as far as I know, moslems totally shave off , men and women, ..for women it is more hygienic if they shave off too, but leave just a little bit behind so not to look barren desert or forest...but as a sum total.....it is only for hygienic purposes that shaving is well recommended , nothing more!!!the next problem that one should worry is when they prick out the underwear, when trimmed or when they start to grow,,,this time it is a public and pubic problem...

What I have heard is that shaving pubic hairs can cause or increase the risk of infection problems since it's often gay men who do this, and they sometimes engage in risky behaviors.

I have also heard women prefer men not to shave - nor to be asked to shave either - because when both have hair there, it tends to make sex less likely to be painful if the guy is very vigorous or goes quite deep. It acts as a bit of a "cushion" against vigorous intercourse.

There are some that claim guys who like women who are shaved are trying, in a way, to live out the equivalent of a fantasy of having sex with a young (prepubescent) girl. Probably a harmless fantasy and far better than the alternative (of doing the real thing with an underage girl).

Personally, I think that in the absence of some health reason to do so I would strongly recommend against it.

Keep it if you value the health of your skin.

Pubic hair has lots of functions:
--prevents chaffing
--keeps the area warm in winter and cool in summer
--is a clear sign of adulthood (which is why some guys almost throw up when they see a shaved woman--it makes them feel they are about to have sex with a child, which is a major taboo)
--maybe most importantly, it allows air to circulate better in the region. This evaporates sweat and actually REDUCES odor! If you have no hair there, fungus and bacteria thrive in the dampness, and you can get some serious infections, as well as non-serious ones that just make you itch and/or smell bad.

Hair is functional, but it's also sensuous, mysterious, and just plain SEXY! (And anybody who says she gets it in her TEETH needs to learn a technique that doesn't involve chewing.)

If you want your partner to go down there, and who doesn't, it's probably best if you trim your pubic hair. Most people don't like getting hair in their mouth.
Trimming is better than shaving.

Shave it in the summer. Keep it for the winter. It is a hygienic issue. In summer, guys tend to sweat a lot and that is no different to your pubic area. In winter, it helps to keep you want.

Hi
There is no right answer. Just do what you want. In fact most guys DO NOT shave, some trim them, and some totally shave them. Why not experiment? You'll find that shaving can be difficult and you can easily cut yourself. Also when it starts to grow it irritates.

Hope this helps

Pete

Hey? Ever considered keeping your shaved pubic hairs? That way you could do both.

Neither is harmful, unless you cut yourself shaving.

When it grows back it itches, and women wont want their sensitive parts on top of you down there if you have stuble down there, so i opt not to shave. How ever a little trim can make it look tidier and bigger if you know what i mean!

Keeping your pubes trimmed makes for good looking bush. When your partner goes down for some oral pleasure they don't get those pubes in the way.
