The news has sent a frenzy all over the Harry Potter fan sites and all through the internet, about Dumbledore being gay. I am interested to know if anyone looks at Dumbledore differently now, and if so how? If not, why not? Do you like him more or less? Do parts of the book have different meanings for you now?

Me personally (being gay): I have even more admiration for this already amazing character :)

I don't see him differently now as it really doesnt matter that he is gay.
A lot of people have said that because he is gay that why he liked Harry so much but I just think that is people with sick minds. Also many people have said that JKR made him a closet gay and that is worse but I don't think that is true at all. I think that Dumbledore is a brilliant character and JKR didn't make it a huge issue of him being gay because she wanted people to realise that being gay doesn't define a person and contrary to some peoples small minded beliefs, gay people can make great teachers and mentors etc.

Not really, whether not he's gay doesnt make a difference ot the books. It doesnt change anythign especially since it was announced after the final books was written. I mean who craes, gay or not doesnt affect who we are or anyone else. Its the same as saying his hair color was blonde. Completely irrelevant.

It didn't change my opinion at all. I love the Harry Potter series but people need to get a grip. IT'S A FICTIONAL BOOK! Folks are taking this thing WAY to seriously!

It had very little relevance to the character's actions in the book, so I'm surprised everyone's so shocked. Finding out he was opened little in the way of alternative interpretation. So no, it didn't alter my option at all. :)

under no circumstances. while interpreting the section approximately Gellert Grindelwald and Dumbledores previous i continuously concept "they may be in love" yet each time i discussed that to anyone they have been all "of direction hes no longer gay, its Harry potter!" while it got here out that he become gay i become like "I KNEW IT!" and become somewhat happy with myself ^.^

No, I just felt mild surprise, then nothing. He is, after all, a fictional character.
