Yes to feel the sensation more intensely and to concentrate on that and not your surroundings. We close our eyes and we are immediately in our "own little world."
It's more romantic that way.

.....We communicate not just by our words, we use our entire body. Some times it is voluntary ;some times it is not. When we see some thing or someone we like, our pupils will involuntarily expand. When people are surprised they usually react by opening their eyes wider..... a startle response. When we are puzzled about something we often cock our head to one side and scratch it. We have thousands of little mannerisms that communicate messages.
Think about it, when you smell your favorite food you will often close your eyes and say ....MMMMMMMMM...
This communicates to others that you like the smell..... anticipate enjoying the impending meal.
Closing your eyes when being kissed is a way of communicating your pleasure in the experience. Eyes open on the other hand would communicate less emotional involvement.

Maybe it just came automatically with the act, and it's better to close your eyes or else you may look funny with a cross-eyed while kissing...:)

Our eyes are not used to looking at objects that close so if you dont close it you get crossed eyed.
I think its more of an instict. Guys (or gals) who don't, in my opinion, has some reservation on their kissing partner. maybe to look whether the other is looking as well.
Well, kiss is still better when you are not looking.

a guy told me that most men are more likely to rely on visual. so some guys dont close their eyes,looking at their partner's face..making them more horny,etc.. but with girls,its a different thing. because girls rely on their feelings.
it should be an automatic reflex..

Red: it never seems like a reaction or anything like that to me. perhaps were saving the moment so that we will remember the kiss clearly later on.
Yuki: i just like the kissing bit. maybe when you close your eyes your fanticising about someone you always wanted to kiss (of the celebrety kind). mabe were seeing if our partners a good or bad kisser?

its more romantic with the eyes closed and it looks bad to watch your partner kissing you with the eyes opened
