It depends. Eastern side of Oregon or Western side. The eastern side they are more down to earth. Very nice people.

Being an Oregonian, I can give you the best advice (I lived there all of my life until I moved to CT with my husband for his job). First of all, it doesn't rain nearly as much as people say it does..and the people who say this don't live there so what do they know anyway. Don't worry if you go to the beach and it's pouring down rain...give it a few hours and it will usually clear up and turn out to be a beautiful day. Oregonians for the most part (there are some exceptions but there are exceptions to everything) are very nice and polite and will only look at you funny if you pronounce the name of the state wrong (you shouldn't have a problem since you grew up on the west coast...people on the east coast I have found were actually taught how to say it wrong in school). Oregon is beautiful (I've known a lot of Japanese people who have actually come to Oregon to get married because it was so beautiful) and you should definitely take time to travel around and see the sights (Crater Lake, Silver Creek Falls, Seaside, Portland, etc). You'll love it...trust me.

I also have a spare mattress room. Wait a sec...My spouse in all possibility does no longer choose for that. i admire Cali! i do no longer comprehend approximately KY, yet Oregon replaced into only slightly custom ask your self for me after 38 years in l. a.. possibly coming from KY would be greater handy. The residing challenge relies upon on the money you need to spend. North Portland is a greater fee-effective, newly revitalized area, as is the Alberta District in NE. Artsy and hipper places like the Pearl and Hawthorne will fee you so plenty greater.

I know they have some nice waitresses, at least at all the truck stops I had the good fortune of stopping at. People just like everywhere else, somewhat more polite. Fewer gangs. Latter just an assumption. Potentially Bigfoot, latter also an assumption, though based on anecdotal tales by an ex room mate who lived there once.

I dont know, but there are an abundance of trees there. I have been wanting to move to Oregon as well. I heard the scenery is really nice. Im sure there are nice people there too. The only state I have been too where the people werent so nice was Arizona. They look at you weird if you wave to them.
