'preacher', Jim Jones had 800+ of his 900+ members drink kool-aid, that had cyanide mixed in it! Believe it or Not!
REASON: To commit suicide & think that ending their lives, they would be in heaven that much quick sooner.
"Weird" Jim Jones also had the families children drink it!
He had infants be injected, with cyanide as if it was a flu shot.
He committed suicide, with a pistol.
There were only twenty to thirty "former members" that escaped the suicide. This occurred in the country of Guyana, in South America.
Jones had his church cult moved out of California, so they (he) would not be caught sooner & imprisoned!
PS: Why I remember the date of that suicide fate, is I read Today In History, daily. + It was on CBS, NBC & ABC's stations as they were informed. ABC, NBC & CBS broke-in on the current programs that were being televised. Just like O. J. Simpson being chased by Los Angeles police in that white truck, as Houston Rockets were playing the New York Knicks for NBA Championship.

The study of history has sometimes been classified as part of the humanities and at other times as part of the social sciences[3] It can also be seen as a bridge between those two broad areas, incorporating methodologies from both. Some individual historians strongly support one or the other classification.
I hope advantageous, Thanks!

You could try Jesus ben Joseph. He was a hit in His day, especially with the poor and downtrodden. Those in power hated Him as He challenged the status quo. Since His time His influence has grown until today He is known throughout the world. He is Jesus Christ.
