What brilliance does my song desire?
To be the passion of my heart's fire
and ever on the tongues of those who read
bestow the truth that lingers by their breath.
My song is borne from passion's own desire
to be complete, as it were writ by fire,
reveals the nature of its destiny's decree,
becomes its word, the life was given it by me.
And promise of its light is what I want
upon the future of it glowing bright,
as never before it did, before it I did write,
the very soul of me entwined these words,
they sang themselves a song, became the verse,
for heart's are singing with the song I sang
and melodies ne'er heard before sprang
full and loud into their heart's a fire,
to be the one true wish of my desire.
