I'm a senior in college and graduate on Dec 12. I go to school Mon, Wed & Fri and work T, Th & Sat. My husband has been laid off and we are going to be really short on money. I'm working 20 hrs a week but can work up to 40. I'm thinking about skipping my afternoon class so that I can pick up extra hours on Mon & Friday but I feel so bad about it.. I know that we need the money but I'm a good student (3.6 gpa) and I feel so horrible about skipping class to work.

Would it be bad for me to do this or should we just tough it out until I graduate on Dec 12th and then pick up more hours?? We really need the money now. The class that I'd miss I can study for on my own at home and I wouldn't miss any exam days.

What would you do?

Living is more important than studying. Life is for living first. You said you can make up for the missed lessons at home and won't be missing the exams. I see no problem. If you need money, work more and study at home. You seem to be doing well at studies. So you should be ok.

Since you say you would not have problems if you missed the classes...you being a good student and all...go and work. cause if you worry about the money you need to have and could get...it might affect your overall performance...just don't neglect your school work.Al the best!

If you are able to do the second option, than do it if you need the money. But please, graduate on Dec. 12th !! I wish you all the best!!
