On Youtube you can expand the box on the right side to display the full URL. Copy URL.

If the Youtube file is a WMV or AVI or MPEG is should automatically default to Win Media Player, if it does just right click to open "save as" target and save the file.

If it is a FLASH file then ...
Download Moyea FLV - it is a freeware that
downloads and converts flash files to AVI or WMV. I've used it recently and it works great.

Go back to the Youtube video you want - copy the URL and place in this program. It takes about 1 minute to understand how Moyea FLV works.

Once captured and converted, just "save as" to your HD.

Use www.keepvid.com or www.videodl.org and when you are downloading click "Save" and rename the file with a .flv extension BEHIND the file name. Type it like this without the inverted commas ".flv" Then download the free Riva FLV Player + Encoder at www.rivavx.de?encoder. When you installed the encoder. Open the program and when you pick the file to encode. Add an .mpg to the end of the file. Dont forget the settings like the video size. Contact me at my email if you want clarification.

Transfer to disc?

If you mean downloading them use the Firefox browser and DownloadHelper extension.

If you mean making them into DVD try dvdflick.

It works a treat, no entering URLs or anything.
