A direct greenhouse gas affects longwave radiative transfer in the atmosphere. An indirect greenhouse gas affects direct greenhouse gases. The main example of an indirect greenhouse gas is CO, which affects greenhouse gases by reacting with hydroxyl radical (leading to more methane, a direct greenhouse gas). Methane is both a potent direct gas (i.e., it has a large effect on longwave radiative transfer) and an indirect gas since it is involved in the formation of tropospheric ozone, a direct gas. There are lots of other examples of indirect gases, you can challenge yourself and figure out why dimethylsulfide is an indirect greenhouse gas.

I am not too sure I know the exact answer to your question, but all the same I'll venture an answer: Direct green house gases are those produced as a result of HUMAN activity, like the burning of fossil fuels which result in the production of pollutants like carbon dioxide (CO2), carbon monoxide (CO), ozone (O3), nitrogen dioxide (NO2) etc. On the other hand, the indirect greenhouse gases would be those gases produced as a result of natural processes like the decomposition of organic matter which produces methane (CH4), or rthe emission of sulphuric gases from active volcanoes which also contribute to greenhouse gases.

The two major greenhouse gases are water vapour and carbon-dioxide.The other greenhouse gases are methane, ozone, nitrous oxides and chlorofluorocarbon. Some of them occur in nature. They are water vapour,CO2,methane and nitrous oxide. The other gase are man-made.I presume this is what you mean by direct and indirect greenhouse gases.
