According to J to the Power of 7
"Historians estimate--though we will never truly know--that somewhere around 20 million human beings were murdered under Stalin's orders by the NKVD/KGB."

I had heard this from a Russian friend of mine who was upset that we never talk about the millions of citizens who were killed by Stalin, only Hitler---but part of that, I strongly suspect, is that Stalin was one of our allied forces leaders and we didn't want to stir the boiling pot too far....as it is the Cold War led to even more deaths.

the death toll under stalins rule from everything from war to famine to his paranoa is estimated at aboutr 20 million, the death toll for ww2 caused by hitler is 100 million although i agree that the jews killed by the nazi are better documented then those in the soviet union it is possible that the toll is higher both leaders oversaw horrendus acts against human rights and should both be remembered as doing so the world should remenber the victoms of the soviet union just as those of the nazi regime.

Get your info straight; neither man personally killed a single person. Stalin handed down the orders that led to the deaths of some 60 million people; the germans ran camps that killed some 6 million people, half of them jews.

i believe everyone knows that stalin was just as much a murderer as hitler was. ww2 took 100 million lives. i think once somebody kills a million people you can expect to be called a monster.
