Life On Mars - by a million miles - his best song and the first UK record to reach number one before publication. Brilliant and one of the best all time songs, not only for Bowie.
FACT: Life on Mars has the same chord sequence as My Way for which Bowie was asked to provide an English lyric. The song was bought and translated by Paul Anka before Bowie got his chance and Life on Mars was his ironic reply.

His acoustic version of "Life On Mars", saw him live (again) on his last tour about 4 years ago. He sang it then and brought the hairs up on the back of my neck.
