When you're walking on a sidewalk, and someone walks towards you, do you...?

i glance at them from a distance,try to guess what kind of person they are,then depending on that,i would do A ,C ,D, or E .or if they looked really bad i would cross over

C or D, depending upon my mood. If it is a narrow sidewalk I definitely hold my ground, make eye contact and take up my half of it. I spent years of my life looking down and stepping aside for everyone. The head up and eye contact keeps overly pushy people where they belong- on their side of the walk way! If they are not taking up more than their fare share of the space, I just ignore them completely, which is also my preference!

It entirely depends on the size of the town or city. The larger the city (a) the more avoidance. Small towns (e) mean full eye contact for me.

Generally E. If I don't know the person I don't worry about making eye contact, but I do tend to nod and say "howdy".
