I lived there for two years when I first started college and even as a single woman, it was a fun and inviting city. There are different sub-sections that have everything you need, so you never really notice how big it is unless you absolutely have to drive across town. The locals are incredibly involved with the Spurs and they practically shut things down for Fiesta week in the spring. It's an amazing place.

Single Women San Antonio

San Antonio is the 7th largest city in the US. For a single woman that can mean a lot of things. A lot of strangers, Traffic problems, Higher Crime. The isolation of a large impersonal city.

But in San Antonio, if you put in the proper effort, and live in the appropriate places, you will find a friendly, city with a small town feel. We have "fiesta" feeling all year long, due to our strong hispanic heritage and influences, and the many local festivals and events. It can be hard to meet people in large cities due to the movement and constant pace, but if you get involved in things when you get here, you will find meeting new people is not too difficult. There are organizations for people with special interests, social and service organizations, and spiritually based organizations which all give you safe places to meet people of similar interests. As far as safety. Any large city will have unsafe ares, if you live in the safer areas, the crime rate is below the national average. The weather here is great. There are entertainment opportunities all year long. And shopping and restaurants are great here. Most people who talk about the city mention the Paseo del Rio (Riverwalk). It is a lovely area, and I have enjoyed myself there many times, But having grown up there, I find that it is something I might see once or twice a year, and not a reason to focus on when selecting a city. The riverwalk area is obviously designed to attract the out of town visitors, and works as there are well over 20 million tourist to San Antonio each year. The areas of Southtown, and the Quarry, and Sunset Station I have a greater tendency to visit.
San Antonio is a safe, and friendly city. I have met numerous friends and my wife in this city. Its a nice place to be single

Find chat rooms that are designated for locations... like Texas.. then look for San Antonio. Chat with the locals.... but remember, they're on the internet. Do your research.
SA is a pretty good sized city with all that goes with it. All the conveniences and social programs any big city can provide.
I've been there many times and its a very charming city. The RiverWalk is very nice... Its a historical city too. Much of the history of Texas was born... and died there.

Visit the city for a weekend, and go by the vibes you get when you're there. Drive around and see if overall it looks good or if it just "looks" unsafe. You could also talk to a local realtor and ask which areas are safest in terms of crime rates and such.

I've been there on vacation and it was a lot of fun - I've never looked into living there, though, so I don't know much more about it. Good luck!

VIctoria's Black Swan inn off Eisenhauer and a few circulate highway close Salado creek on the NE ingredient is experience to be haunted. The Menger inn Bar is only too. those Ghost excursions are a rip off, the two certainly one of them.
