Will go by my son who started at Coles (casual) after school and weekend work, his start rate was $8.95 an hour. That was when he was 15 1/2 - he now gets $11.10 an hour and just turned 17. - You get more on Sundays and public holidays of course. There is 3 days a week you will get triple pay if you work, Boxing day, easter Monday (I think) and forget the other)

Kmart, Target and Coles are the same company/brand as such.

You will also get a discount card for purchases in the store and heaps of others, including your mums shopping at Coles !

Take a look at http://www.wageline.qld.gov.au/youngworkersrights/starting_work.html and http://www.thesource.gov.au

A great site based for young people. 12 - 25 yrs old.
