depends on what you need. what are your security measures? what kind of security do you need?

do you mean customer information on secure sites? only those trusted sites can customer information be secured. some sites like pay pal, wamu, bank of america, and others use something called https <-- hyper text transfer protocol secured.

if you are setting something up in your company, then you should look into ftp - file transfer protocol or setting up intranets or extranets, because they are normally secured.

protecting your computer is a priority when you have tons of customer information, you should always make sure the information is shared only to those who need it. for all other reasons, you should limit the sharing, because in the wrong hands, those files can be released to people who can use it for fraud, where the customers will sue u.

good luck.

It depends on the company site. In your company, you need to check with system admin. There are some private sector who provide service to keep clients data. Then whether it is a trustworhty company. You need to check with them on how they protect your data.

Beside secured system, normally it involve encryption. So far, only RSA encryption is save. Others just be cracked within hours. Blackluck!!

Anyway, a company has its responsibility in protecting clients' data. If that company does not provide protection, that company would be persecuted even though it is a victim of hacking. At least it sound for civil procedding.

I'll just give you a worthless answer, so I can vote myself best answer in a week or so, when no-one else has given an answer, because , this is a daft pointless question.

What "other" protection do you need? The protection already available is unbeatable is correctly managed.

Thanks for the two points, I'll be back next week for 10 more ;-)
