Our country has been run always by people that use the power of the people to make whatever they want, let's face it, when they are in your town, it's Billy, OB, or Mc, or Hillary, but once they are up there, you and I are just a big bunch of Idiots that vote because there is nothing better to do, Cling screw us, and the Dem's, fought for the guy like crazy, and the reps made an impeach out the deal, now you got WB, and we want impeach the guy too, now why? easy, cause that's the way the system works, remember balance of power?
Now said all that, my best bet..
I Guess we need a woman to screw us all, what the heck, just for fun wouldn't it be funny to see what happens, hey we got pelozzi you now where and things are just getting interesting, so If Evita Peron did it, why not Hillary, what's the worst that will happen, in a few years things will go back to Rep's and we will still be screwed, so Enjoy relax, and give it to Hillary, Hope that Monica won't get jealous.. LOL..

I like 2 people - John Edwards He seems to be in touch with the working class. He knows what they need.
I like Obama because he would give a new fresh look at everything...He knows its important for the US to get along with the world, not be hated for acting the way it has been. ..and other things I he believed in.
Wouldn't it shock everyone if Hillary did not win the primary!
I used to like her until I heard some of the things she said, and some of the things she did not say or comment on.

Mike Huckabee would be my first choice, but he has very little nme recognition. So that has led me to Fred Thompson. Both come from more conservative backgrounds and not back down from Iraq until the work is done. Will someone tell Fred's people that he should be campaigning now, it does seem they have forgotten it right now

Huckabee!
> He seems geniunely honest, and he has been VERY open about his stance on all of the issues.
He is pro-life and wants to overturn Roe v. Wade.
He is against homosexual marriage, and upholds the belief that marriage is between a man and a woman.
He believes that we must win the Iraq war, and leave with honor as soon as possible. IMHO, whatever your position is on the beginnings of the war, it is clear that it is not possible to just hop out of it without serious consequences (such as more slaughter of free Iraqis, now left in turmoil, and a rise in terror, etc., not to mention losing any semblance of a good name)
He believes that health care is a major issue, and should be dealt with not only by reform, but also by educating the public and acting preventively (he speaks from experience).
He wants to lower taxes, not raise them, and completely reform our tax system to create a Fair Tax (btw, he successfully lowered taxes in Arkansas, despite what some liberal attacks have claimed - they have been refuted MANY times)
He wants to bring our education system back to the basics, and to mandate music education and the arts in school curriculum, as they promote critical thinking skills.
His stance on illegal immigration is not as tough as it could be, but reasonable: secure our borders before ANYthing else, then deal with the illegals inside our country. He doesn't offer them amnesty (thank goodness) but believes they should be fined and offered citizenship, which they must then work for. I figure that's better dealt with through congress anyway...
I think Huckabee is really the best candidate for this election, and has a chance at the Republican nomitation as long as people educate themselves and vote in the primaries.
edit: Ryan W, if you like Huckabee, then vote for him! He is gaining in support, while Thompson's has been flagging. He seems too unenthused for me, and he is sketchy on multiple issues. He is also unwilling to stand up for his beliefs on abortion and gay marriage; he is going to 'let the states decide'. As Huckabee said, they wanted to do that with the slave trade too, which was considered a 'moral' issue...

Bill Richardson is by far the best qualified, though I prefer Dennis Kucinich's plan for universal health care. Nevertheless, if President Al Gore runs, he's got my support.
