Hi. Thanks so much for your question and I'm really glad you're thinking about this. Nothing is more important than your eternal salvation.

Let's put your lifestyle aside for the moment, ok?

Do you want to know if you are going to heaven or hell FOR SURE? Please see http://www.thegoodpersontest.com

I'm assuming you took the test already while you're reading this part right now.

Please read the book of John and the book of Romans. All throughout the bible it talks about 'death to self'. Jesus said that unless you are born again, you cannot inherit the kingdom of God. Jesus said that unless you repent you will perish. Jesus said that you must repent and put your faith in Him (Mark 1:15). Jesus also said that unless you are willing to die to yourself and pick up your cross and follow him, you will not go to heaven.

The bible makes it quite clear that homosexuality is a sin. Please read Romans 1. I am trying to say this in the most sensitive way possible because I understand that your feelings are very real. But the problem is that the bible says we are born into sin and we naturally have sinful desires. It can be a strong desire for fornication, homosexuality, drunkeness, lying, promiscuity, etc. So many Christians will say homosexuality is a sin, and yet they seem to ignore other sins like sex outside of marriage etc. They are both sins.

So what I'm trying to say is that just because you have a strong desire for something and enjoy something, doesn't make it right. You must repent of this. God promises that if you confess your sin, he will be faithful and just to forgive you (see 1 John). Remember... Jesus said that unless you repent, you will perish (Luke 13).

I really hope this helps. Please please please talk to a godly person about this. Like a doctrinally sound pastor and get some counselling and tell them that you're struggling with this.

Please don't sear your conscience. Right now it's REALLY bugging you and if you keep ignoring it and listening to what the world tells you, you will eventually numb your conscience so it won't bother you anymore. Remember that the bible is God's word and you can trust it. Look to the bible, and not to other worldly people's advice.

I don't want to belittle any religion or personal beliefs about morality. However, I really thought this debate about being gay had ended decades ago.

Did you know that in ancient civilizations they didn't even have a term for being gay? It was often considered perfectly normal for people of the same gender to be attracted to one another. There was a famous army in Greece called The Sacred Band of Thebes which consisted entirely of pairs of male lovers. They fought ferociously and bravely. The honor and dignity they displayed in battle is legendary.

Aristotle was gay. Innumerable people who created the philosophy of the modern world were gay. However, back in those days, the male to male attraction was just considered a natural part of life. In ancient Greece, men often had wives just for producing children.

Think of the innumerable enhancements that gays have made to our culture. If you enjoy clothing, many of it was designed by gays. Movies, plays, music, literature? There are a lot of gays in those professions.

There is even speculation that Abraham Lincoln was gay.

Watch the 60-Minutes link below, and you won't think about homosexuality the same way again. It's not a sin, it's not "your fault". It's not something that can be "cured".

Yes, Jesus Christ died on the cross for us. Being gay is a sin, but isn't lying and cheating also a sin? Sin is sin in God's eyes and as long as you ask forgiveness, He will forgive you. If you are not sure you are gay, ask God for help in understanding. He will answer. But do not be afraid if you are gay. No matter what the sin is, whether it is lying, being gay, or even murdering someone, as long as you ask Jesus Christ into your heart and believe He is the son of God, you will definitely go to Heaven,

First of all, it was Jesus who died for our sins, and who got hung on the cross..
But I dont believe your gonna go to hell for being gay..
I mean, im not a big religous person, and I dont talk about religion that much but if God didn't like gay people why would he make them..So dont worry about it..
Just enjoy your life!!

Not all Christian sects are homophobic, plenty are very accepting of gay people and have shown how the bible doesn't condemn gay people at all. (Mistakes in translation in most cases.) People don't have a choice over whether or not they're gay, so it's difficult to believe that there's a God out there who would condemn someone for something they had absolutely no control over. Just be a good person and be who you truly are, so you'll be happy, and things will work out well.

First off, being gay, in and of itself, is not a sin. Lust (sleeping around, multiple sex partners) and Vanity are the two most common sins among the gay community... but you'll find those in straight people too.

Christ died on the cross for the sins of the world. He triumphed over death by His ressurection. ALL who have faith in him as their Saviour are saved. No where in the Bible does it say ALL who believe are saved except gays. There is no exception mentioned anywhere in the Bible.... ALL means everyone. ALL have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God, yet he sent His one and only Son to be the sacrifice for us ALL. Christ, himself, only gave two commands... to love God with all your heart, mind, and soul; and to love your neighbor as yourself.

This has been the topic of soo many conversations between friends an myself. Contrary to popular belief, I was raised to believe that there was no degree to sin. Our being gay would be seen no less or worse in our saviors eyes than any other sin that mankind commits. In saying this, I truly believe that in our hour of judgment, for the true believers and worshipers, that we may be spared and forgiven. Hope this is able to shed some light on such a dreadful thought. Believe me, I've been there...

What you call sin is only yiur mental condition. No body is born with obsessions. If you have realized that what you have been doing was abnormal, you have won half the battle. Meditate on God for an hour every day. You will be free of evil influences. People have achieved impossible things by regular and sincere prayers. Wish you best of God's grace.

God made you. I don't think he made some people gay as a cruel joke, it's to give everyone an identity and have a free will. Uptight conservatives bore God, so he made variety.
