Ok schweinfurt707 it seems you do not know what you are talking about. the saying has many different words maybe it depends on where you are from. the original saying is born in a barn not raised it is raised in a haystack. does that make sense to you Oh mightier than thou attitude

I have been asked if I was born in a barn. My Mom used to say that all the time, but never raised in a haystack.

well first of all the saying is were you raised in a barn? this is usually asked when you leave a door open at your/someones house, and rightfully so for you should never leave a door open for predators to get in. The 2ND saying/exasperation..It is like finding a needle in a haystack. This is self explanatory in my opinion unless you are an idiot. You loose a diamond in a white shag carpet, it is doubtful you will find it . A needle in a haystack sort of speak.
