Anytime a person looks for a job when college students are flooding the market looking for some extra income and holiday cash, they will have a difficult time. I only found jobs twice during the time immediately preceding the holidays. and they were about 10 years apart.

In January, there will be jobs aplenty. Not much comfort, but the truth nonetheless, because all of the students will be back in school.

Try for a temp job until the holiday season is over. Though college students will flood temp agencies too, at least there should be a steady influx of job offers. If you don't mind getting your hands dirty, try warehouse or fast food or retail until January.

Hope I helped. God bless you.

ok your threat-free aspects of the city is somewhat incorrect. the coolest purchase of it has good and undesirable. North aspect has the great and worst ex. Michigan av. and the position cabrini eco-friendly changed into once and the hot housing. (in case you do not recognize what cabrini eco-friendly it changed into between the most threatening places contained in the international) alongside with henry horner and all the different housings, that are purely blocks far flung from Michigan Av. West aspect has this undesirable attractiveness because it changed into once risky with the mafia in there and had multiple negative immigrants, yet lots of the west aspect is threat-free and has greek, chinese, and italian neighbourhoods. and so on... the position lots of the individuals contained in the neighbourhoods are of that respectable yet absolutely no longer all of us. i ought to say that is your wonderful wager, that is as a rule threat-free and it has low-cost housing and it also has multimillion $ homes. (I stay on the west aspect in Little Italy) Then there is the south aspect it has the decrease earnings homes without being thoroughly supported like chicago housings. Out of each and every of the aspects south ought to probable be the worst in spite of the reality that it's not the worst component to Chicago in it... If that makes any experience to you? South aspect also has very wonderful places to stay. What you want seems very practicable and there are subway places everywhere and if for some tiny reason there are none through you hop on a trolly they are free.

3 questions here...
#1-Chicago is rad.
#2-I don't know where you're looking-have you tried Craigs list?
#3-You probably don't suck as a person, you're probably feeling down because you're in a new place & need to get your bearings. Don't worry...it will all come to you. Try to connect with people-but not at bars. Good luck. Again, try Craigs list on the internet.

Houston, Texas. Our economy is always great and plenty of jobs. We also do not pay state tax when we file our federal income tax, and no tax on grociers and over the counter meds and prescriptions. Our cost of living is one of the best in the country with better than average pay in lots of fields. Our car tags go by weight of your auto, and a tag for my 2001 Toyota Camry is only $58.60 a year.

What are you trying to do? It may very well be that you aren't taking the right approach, but that is hard to know if we don't know what you have done or what you are looking for.
