I think Kasey C is right. You seem to be confused with the jargon! WYSIWYG is simply an easier way of creating HTML web sites rather than hand coding. It's abit like using a TV with a remote control rather than turning knobs. WYSIWYG programs allow you to drop elements and text anywhere on the page. When you publish the page, the program automatically converts the mess to structured HTML. I use a WYSIWYG program called WYSIWYG Web Builder http://www.wysiwygwebbuilder.com and it's great.

You don't even know that WYSIWYG is, do you?
WYSIWYG = "what you see is what you get", sort of an abbreviation / acronym describing graphical programs that shows entities that is almost as they are on paper, rather than using special symbols and markups.
HTML = Hypertext Markup Language
The two are so different that they can't really be compared. You may as well compare the ocean versus an orange.

If you're comparing the rich feature set and controls of a windows/mac o/s / linux desktop environment compared to HTML, YES!
But the gap should close in when more companies start using AJAX...
