As much as i would like to think so, i dont think it will ever end.

Aside from peoples personal beliefs and ideas, what about groups like the NAACP (just as and example, not picking out). Seems like as long as there are groups aimed towards specific ethnicities, its not going to end. Not to say that is the reason it exists but does it help the problem?
Even tests in schools where you have to tell them your race. . i dont get it . . it shouldnt matter especially in schools . . i'm half "white" and asian . . but i'm required to say that i am asian when asked . . and as bad as sad as this is, i know nothing about my asain culture or background . . but i still have to say i'm asain.

Its one of those age old questions that will probably be around for ages to come. What are your thoughts?

I heard EVERYONE is racist, even those who don't want to be or claim that they are not.

its on a subconscious level.

It kinda makes sense. Its not a matter of dislike, its a matter of culture and unity.... family

look at different cultures around the world. they are so rich and unique and spread through out their countries.

its because birds of a feather flock together ya know.

racism will never stop even if we're 1 mixed race.
we'd still have different groups and believes and countries. All of those people could develop ISM against each other in some way.

and uh I hate to burst anyones bubbles here, but NO-ONE is a "pure breed"..... if we where we'd be inbread

Good question. The answer is unfortunately no...but racism is not the real problem. People will always find a way in every society to put themselves above other people to gain advantages and perks for themselves and their corrupt friends. I naively thought that when I moved to Europe...that since everybody was mostly white, then class problems would disappear and there would be less strife. But the one big, happy, white European family idea disappeared very quickly....for example, West Germans don't particularly like East Germans or people from the Eastern block countries.

People will always find a reason to fight and to hate. And when there is nothing obvious like skin color, well then they will try to find something else.

Sorry to break it to you, Eric, but your interacial marriage thing won't work, if we were all of the same race, we would be predjudiced toward green eyed people, or red heads, or social status, or credit score, or some other baseless form of judgement. if you think about it, we are all members of the human race and look at how many things we have found to hate (or at least dislike) about our fellow man. as long as humans exist, some group will hate some other, doesn't make it right, just the way it is. Racism exists among ALL races, black, white, asian, etc. It would be nice to do away with extreme racists, though, like the nazis, kkk, black militants, Muslim extremists and the tribes who fight in Africa.

I agree with Melodrama in that racism is not the main problem. I am not a racist and have friends of many different races, religions and colours. In the UK (England in particular) however, there just simply isn't enough room for more and more people. There is already a housing shortage and our greenbelt is slowing being eaten into to address the problem. The other issue is language. In the area where I live we now have several bus drivers from Eastern Europe. Yes, the bus company does have a driver shortage and Eastern European drivers would be welcome, but most of those whom they have employed cannot speak English. A bit of problem to say the least.

racism stops when race ceases to exist
