Its the complete opposite, they are backed by syria, lebenons occupiers, they intimidate elections, they hold parlament at gunpoint, they racketeer money from the lebeneese government, they use their civilians as human sheilds, and have continued fragmenting the country after syria left. Without them Lebenon would have achieved democracy by now. Some Defenders.

Well they are insidious, their petty social services are only brainwash that diverts people from the big picture of lebenons troubles that hezbollah causes.

After they accept their petty aid, they let them tear apart their democracy just like the Syrians. In fact hezbollah is only a talking head of Syria after they left.

When Israel occupied southern Lebanon , Hezbollah fought to drive them out and so gained the loyalty of the people in the south.
When Israel bombed Lebanon because of actions of Hezbollah, the people in all of Lebanon had to chose between Hezbollah and the people who were dropping bombs on them.

After years of civil war followed by political, economic & social strife many Lebanonese find Hezbollah's ultra conservative ideology reassuring. Hezbollah does offer social services and some sense of stability in southern Lebanon. For people who grew up in such dire situations, Hezbollah seems better than the official Lebanonese government which seldom gets any thing done. The Lebanon army is small & poorly trained & equiped. They don't have the ability to defeat Hezbollah.

you are completely wrong Hezbollah is the greatest light in the history of Lebanese and it fight against the Israeli troops in south of Lebanon till it withdrawn and this was against of the American so they using the media to destroy Hezbollah and they will never succeed
