Do you think after todays game that Payton Manning is Overrated as he is nothing without his star starters.

After todays game, I gained more respect for Bret Farve and Tom Brady and Mcnabb as have won a lot in there career without big name receivers...What do you say??

Natalie..Payton Peyton who cares....

First of all Brady plays to win.. You can see his 3 super bowl rings...

While "Peyton" on the other hand...has always been player with big numbers in regular season but hibernates during playoffs except last year.

Actually I have ALWAYS thought that Peyton is overrated if you look at the stats from last years playoffs his defence won the SB for him he also has one of the best coaches in the NFL

Maybe fantasy football wise. He was the only QB projected to go in the 1st round, and a lot of late rounders are having better years than him.

As far as NFL-wise, I don't think so. He's having a average year statistical wise, yet the Colts are still going end up with a 13-3 or 12-4 record, winning the division, and honestly, anything can happen in the playoffs. Just look at what happened to the Chargers last year.

While he certainly missed Clark and Harrison last night, he didn't have much to work with. He could of done better with average recievers, but the ones he had weren't that good. I honestly doubt that Brady or Farve could of done any better with Aaron Moorehead, a special teams player, or a 3rd string Tight End.

While I don't doubt Tom Brady's greatness, he didn't have the same kind of stats this year as he did last year at this point. You can't tell me that Randy Moss, and to a lesser extent, Wes Welker didn't help with that.

As far as Brett Farve, this his is first good year in a couple of years. With 2 more touchdowns, he'll match his TD total from all of last year, with basically the same recievers. I would hardly call Donald Driver or Greg Jennings "no-names" either.

I find it hard to believe that people are doubting his talent after one bad game.

Peyton Manning is not overrated at all. Mcnabb LOL. last I checked he had Terrell Owens and went to the superbowl and now they got nobody and they are a mediocre. It always helps to be playing in a crappy division. I'm sure you last year you asked the same question about Bret Favre when he was throwing all the INT's. Brady plays to win. Ummm thats gotta be the DUMBEST comment ever. I think all of them play to win, and now your bringing up the whole peyton doesn't do anything in the playoffs but yet he wins a superbowl. You just need to stop the hating. If you don't like him thats cool but enough is enough.

I wouldnt jump to conclusions just yet. Manning is just used to seeing a guy open every down lol. He didnt have that tonight and it messed his game up. He did throw 6 picks though huh? Dang why you gotta ask such a hard question for? Lol. I will side with Brady as the best in the league though, he has gotten it done with and without good receivers. Im a big Jets fan, but Brady needs his respect. Palmer is a close 2nd. Chad Johnson is so worried about HIM and HIS stats, and GETTING TO THE END ZONE TO MAKE A JOKE, that he is all the time running the wrong route making Palmer look bad.

Okay I have a lot of things wrong with this.

1. First of all it's Peyton Manning, not Payton.

2. Secondly, I don't care if he threw 6 interceptions in this game. When it counted he drove his team down the field and put them in a position to win the game. Adam Vinatieri missed two key field goals, especially the 29 yarder to potentially win the game.

3. How can you say he's overrated? He's been consistant throughout his entire career. Sure Tom Brady has been putting up Godly numbers, but Peyton plays to win the game now, not for numbers.

4. He's still a two-time league MVP and Superbowl MVP. Even if he threw 6 interceptions tonight, I doubt he's going to have a repeat performance next week, or for the rest of his career.

I know 6 interceptions kills a team, but look at it this way. The Chargers only scored 10 points off those turnovers. 13 points were basically handed to the Chargers off the punt and kick return. The Colts defense played and stood strong when it mattered. Keep in mind today's game plan originally involved a lot of Dallas Clark. The Colts found out today that Dallas wouldn't be playing, therefore knocking them off guard.

Peyton Manning is not overrated, are you kidding me? They nearly won the game, despite his 6 interceptions.

Yes! Thank god somebody else has asked this question..Not that he is by any means an average QB, but this year has been down for him and last nights game just tips the cake. He will go down as one of the top qb's ever but a lot of questions will loom in my mind. He has never had the poise of Brady, Montana, Elway, Marino, or Unitus. He is the most protected player in the game as well by the media, he is always yelling at his receivers when he over throws them and it seems like it is never his fault. Mentally he is done, the Patriots took that from him and the rest of the season he will always have them in his head. Some may not agree but the truth hurts.

You really must be retarded, he had 17 healthy offensive starters,TOTAL, yet he almost rallied his team back from a 23 point deficit, yes he made some bad throws last night, but had it not been for Vinateri's miss, you would be crying about Manning's looks instead of his abilities.
With the recievers Brady has now, I could qb that team to 8 wins. Hell Danny Weurffell could win 10 or 12 games. I think Brady is a good qb, why must you attack rather than give credit, where credit is due.

He played a different style of basic plays tonight with 3rd string and some 2nd string receivers. It's not, Brady does this with his receivers and that with no receivers. Manning had to play with only ONE receiver that is used to HIS audibles and plays. You must know about football before you see interceptions as making Manning a bad qb all of the sudden. Wayne was his only regular receiver tonight and they knew to double him which they did. Although, Wayne still had more receiving yards than any other receiver this week. Do you see your answer now? Experience is the biggest part in the NFL and with some key players that you play and practice with week in and out, you will win games. Tonight the defense pulled off a chance but Vinatieri pulled a Vanderjackt. I think the offense of the Chargers looked like more of a joke and they still won.

I would say saying he will be the best ever is an overstatement by a mile, which a lot of Colts bandwagoners do...He is still a good QB...but there has never been any doubt in my mind...Tom Brady is the best QB in the NFL...Peyton Manning is #2...and when all is said and done, it'll be Brady that is the best ever...You could have all the individual stats in the world, but the most important one is Super Bowls...Its a team sport

i think of you're making very legitimate factors, rather approximately choking and being self-absorbed and unsightly and beating Rex Grossman. yet i think of Peyton has been a consistent proper 5 QB in this league for a protracted time. And however he's a notch below Tom Brady or Rothlesberger in a key interest, he remains distinctly good. i think of the difficulty is partly that Indy relies upon upon him too lots and def far extra in assessment to New England or Pittsburgh. And Indy's education additionally seems little worse than those 2 communities in terms of being much less resourceful and extra conservative. And however the Indy D has an spectacular pass rush, their corners have continuously been susceptible and their DT's&LB's have continuously been comfortable on run D. So is it Manning- yeah def....yet its additionally how's he's utilized (however there is likewise this difficulty of consistent insubordination via Manning at the back of the curtain) and his D too. (New England's D or Pittsburgh's D in the previous would have been lot extra balanced then any of the Colts' D's for regardless of reason.) however i won't be in a position to recover from my guy-weigh down on Tom Brady. That guy seems good, says and believes in the splendid ingredient, and would not have as huge an ego and settles for much less funds than Manning so as that they are in a position to get extra proper surrounding products. seem in any respect the different adult adult males which have attempted to maintain a lid on Giselle...it takes a virtually particular guy to tug that off...and that's what he's. So, particular, Manning heavily isn't Brady seize because of the fact Manning is in contrast to Brady the guy.
