hi,

i need your help. i am planning my baby shower for my baby boy to be and have no idea how to make it interesting...

heres my dilema. im having a mixed party, so both male and female are coming. therefore i cant make it too girly girly with games and frills etc.

im fine for how to decorate but i have no idea how to entertain them. i am having food pr prepared, so there will be platters scattered around house, im doing welcome drinks and a door prize. How do i enteratain them for the period they are here?

i was thinking i could get away with 2 games, but what else do i do?? i know the men wont be into lots of girly stuff.

thankyou for you help

DO a google search for baby shower games. But dont have too many games! Have them scattered throughout the day. One game could be give them a piece of string, they have to guess how big you are, then get them to put it around you to see how far away they were etc.
Have a race to fold up a good old cloth nappy, and put it on a doll. A baby food guess the food (using baby food of course). There re heaps of fun games to play. Good luck

u want to play games then you have to make it something competitive like the game where you divide up the group into teams of 3 or 4 and its a relay race blindfolded on who can change a baby doll the fastest either dividing in a battle of the sexes or making the teams mixed will be entertaining..at my sisters shower we played a game where there was a big bowl of rice and it had diaper pins all mixed thru and they had so much time to get as many as they could out with only one hand i tell you what them old ladies got frisky over that one.... then of course you could do the dirty diaper game where you melt different fun size candy bars in a diaper and the guest have to figure it out by looking and smelling

Congratulations! The last few baby showers I've attended were co-ed. They were like regular parties. If you're not opposed to it, I would have music and alcohol. Let the men mingle like they're at a regular party and limit the shower games to 2 or 3 for the women. Have a happy and healthy pregnancy and delivery - good luck!

Its your baby shower you can make it however you want. Look up different games on the comp.....they have them for both males and females. Don't make the shower too long, 3 hours is enough for a few games, eating, small talk, and gifts. After 3 hours of hugs and belly rubs you will be ready for everyone to go home.

the idea i came up with for my baby shower to help the people throwing it for me was decorating baby clothes for your baby. it was kinda like an arts and crafts thing. i just bought inexpensive onesies (you could have them decorate socks or little hats instead) and bought shirt paint. everyone got a onesie and personalized it. everyone had a blast. and my MIL had a raffle so people bought little tickets and she raffled off fun stuff and then raffled off some of the stuff like decorations from the baby shower. she gave me and my hubby the money afterward. it was a nice surprise. also, never underestimate the power of a board game or something that you can play with multiple people like "7-up". not too corny. guys might not mind

honestly try more games....guys are sooooo competitive....when you get prizes get one for male and one for female....and do a larger prize for the last one....i mean if you do a couple games, eat and then open gifts and socialize then that should take up a good 2 hrs and arent most baby showers about 3 hrs?....i think you should be fine.
