Yia Yai and Papou's in Live Oak -- far northeast San Antonio, near the intersection of Loop 1604 and IH 35. The gyros are wonderful, the spanakopita beyond words, and the baklava leaves you breathless. And the prices are VERY reasonable.
The address is 8088 Pat Booker Road. The phone number is 637-5639.

Individual tastes are always different, and you may not like you Gyros the same as I like mine. I like John the Greek on Thousand Oaks off 281, I have been going to John the Greek since it was in an old drive in on Harry Wurzbach.

Try John the Greek on Thousand Oaks off 281. This is a family restaurant with several generations of the same family working together. There is also Opah, and It's Greek to Me.

Demos on Saint Mary's is good, but kinda greasy. There is also a good place on Huebner near I-10. The name escapes me, but it is in the same shopping area as Freebirds, Fat Burger, and Panda Express. Very easy to find.
