I don't think their that pricey. Sure you can get other ornaments for less, but they look like you paid less for them.

I think its the name brand and you have to consider Hallmark Keepsake ornaments have been made for years. Many people collect these ornaments and are passed down from a family Christmas tradition. Hallmark knows people are willing to spend the money on these ornaments. I myself asked myself that question, but now I must say I'm addicted to Hallmark ornaments as well.

Hallmark sales really nice ornaments, you can't find them any where else,everything is not going to be cheap.Try a discount store like a "dollar general" or a "99cents store" for discounted hallmark items, they carry them every now and then, maybe you will find some.

They have created their own market by making them in limited numbers.You notice they have a lot of series ornaments.Once you try to complete the set they have you.My ex wife worked for Hallmark and it's not what you think.The stores for the most part are told where and what to put on it's shelves.Imagine the profits made off greeting cards alone.

I think it's because you're paying for the brand name. They really aren't any different than other ornaments you can buy. They're typically made of the same materials and often feature the same types of characters. I would say collect them if you really like them but don't expect them to really increase in value. That's because so many are made and sold.

No kidding, I love this store and go there every year because they carry items you can't get anywhere else but they always run out of products and the prices are outrageous! They are good but not that good. If they were cheaper I would buy so much more from there stores.

don't like them and have not ever bought any of them. They are too expensive and they look cheap, besides they are made in China, what makes you think that toys made in China are the only things that have lead paint on them.....???They are pricey because there are referred to as "collectibles" or "Keepsakes"...

2 reasons I think ... 1- ... They end up being collectors Items because its rare that they remake them every year and they come out with new ones each year ... 2- ITs the holidays ... They know people will pay for them ...
