It has no monthly fees which is good considering my parents hate when i text alot (which i do) so I am considering of purchasing this device. But it runs on Wifi and im not sure if their are any servers up in my community or can i hook it up to my Dsl. Anyone know how to check or anything?

The Zipit Z2 connects to the internet through a public wireless hotspot and through your home internet network (DSL or Cable Internet). You will need a router connected to your computer.

Below is a website that offers free public places that offers free wireless internet (Wi-Fi) by state and city.

If you use a desktop computer with DSL I think you should use PCI wi-fi card and I think that D-link is the best considering it's price , when you connect it just identify your SSID signal to catchup your signal in your home . If there a lap top you connected to your DSL you can use it's wi-fi just by putting an SSID and use it as an access point instead of it's default bridge .
