If you have a good relationship with them, I don't see why not. I have separated with my husband and my stepkids are a very big part of my life. They have nothing to do with my relationship with my ex-husband. I established a relationship with them. Actually, it would be kind of cruel to walk out of their lives completely.

If you have a closed relationship with your stepkids, I don't see why it wouldn't be appropriate. You should see them if you want to maintain that relationship.

Of course. Just because your relationship with him didn't work out doesn't means that you have too divorce those children to especially if you have been there for them and they see as their mother. Tell them that you love them and that you will always be there to support them and make sure that they know that. One thing is for sure you can not introduce a new partner to them that might be disrespectful to their father but other than that they need you to be apart of their lives to guide and counsel them through it. I hope I was able to help,

That would be okay. But split means to divide into two. His kids. His responsibility...I see problems with this situation and his new g/f.

If your relationship is good with the kids and you DO want to continue a relationship with them then I say go for it . They do not have to suffer because your marriage failed. Good luck
