Tonight I was channel surfing, and landed on TBS right as "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" was starting.
It's only eleven days after Halloween! I guess it's fine to have Christmas cards on display starting around, say, Independence Day, but should holiday television programs really start airing before Thanksgiving?

Hey, I'm in San Diego too :o) YES, I think it's too early! I mean, I recieved a catalogue from LL Bean the other day, and they had wreaths already! I think Christmas cards and programs should start immediately after Thanksgiving. Also, I do not want to miss Frosty The Snowman or Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer :o)

I think they should wait until after Thanksgiving (even in the stores), but they haven't been for some years now. Then, a few days after New Years, they already have the Valentine's candy and cards out.

Its a scam. All the stores have their Christmas stuff out early in hopes of getting people to spend more money earlier on. They figure if they can put you in the mood, you'll start to see "great sales" for Christmas, and think "Oh I need to get started early this year!".

Yes, it's a little early to be having those shows. l guess that's the impact of the Christmas season. We just can't wait for it and just go crazy with shopping, decorating, singing xmas jingles and watching those christmassy shows. Malls and supermarkets in here started playing rudolph the red nose, jingle bells........oh, well....
