please don't make fun of me for saying second base, i mean well. ok so i have been going out with my boyfriend for eight months. we have made out but that is as far as we have gone. now please don't think i am a slut, but i was uh... a little curious about second base. not like me touching him! but uh... him touching me (above the waist)? i am 15, and i know that is young, but i am pretty mature so thats not a problem. but anyway back to my question. so yesterday we were hanging out and just cuddling a little (we also made out) and i was hinting towards second base, and it was so akward, but he like shot me down. i am so confused. why would he say that? he is older then by a little bit, but what could it mean? i don't think i have a bad body, but maybe that was why. help?!

He is a responsible boy and respects you. He doesn't want things to get too far. Often boys can't stop themselves once they start so maybe he knows it is better for him if he doesn't start. If you have been together for 8 months you need to trust that he is into you. He thinks you're attractive so do not worry about your body. Maybe he was also a bit embarrassed about it...

Don't take it as a criticism or as being shot down. He probably wanted to be a gentleman, and make sure you weren't feeling rushed. He was trying to be a good guy.
If you're still curious, let him know you've thought about it, you're SURE, and so on. Just think about it and BE sure, ok? Never feel like it's a race to grow up or experience stuff.

It could be that he doesn't think it's the right time to go that far. Maybe he didn't get the hint. Maybe he's just shy. But he is interested in you, so you shouldn't think that your body is unattractive to him. Remember, not every guy is out to get some all the time. He could be of strict morals.

Your boyfriend might respect you so much that he would rather wait till you are 100% sure of what you are doing. No fear he sounds decent. Maybe he is no sure of what to do. Discuss this with him and discuss birth control as well. Once the heat is on you seem to forget every thing else. Take your time my friend.

Maybe he doesn't want to "go to second base". Why do women always assume it is about them??? It is very rare to find a guy who doesn't want to go there just yet, so you should be thankful. May also be he isn't comfortable about doing it with a 15 year old and being seen as a paedofile.

Anyway, back to your question. Perhaps he feels it would be disrespectful to you to do what you seem to want him to do. Or, perhaps he is being cautious and doesn't want to move too fast. Or maybe he's just shy in that regard.

I think you might be taking it the wrong way. He was probably just nervous or something. Or maybe what the other people said that he was just respecting you. I mean if you had never gotten that far and he had never gotten that far he'd probably be very nervous.

Well...maybe he wasnt ready. Boys also have to be ready...just because a girl is ready doesnt mean a boy is. I think your stereotyping your boyfriend to much...i dont think it has to do with your body or anything. To tell the truth i dont think that your ready either...sorry, but 15 aint that old
