When I got together with my first boyfriend I took it indirectly. I said "I have a question.... what would you say if I said I like you more than a friend, would you say the same thing?"
It is a tiny difference to telling him out right that you like him but it is enough for him to either say he feels the same or not. You are talking in hypotheticals so being rejected (if that happens) is not as bad and things aren't as awkward afterwards.

i think of a guy likes you while he pays you extra interest that ordinary. in case you get extra calls or emails or he in basic terms rather tries to communicate or dangle out with you extra in many circumstances. adult men oftentimes act extra stupid than popular while they have emotions for a woman. Been there and carried out that a lot of circumstances!

if yes: "ohh hahaha that's cute. do you need any help with her?" act like the supportive friend and then he'd see u differently 4 bein there as in "you make me wanna" by usher
if no: "ohh you don't like her?? well who is it?! " then evaluate as to whether he likes you or not, if u think he might, put it off by playing games n control him then later just say" What if i say that i like you?" if he says thats bad say you're joking if he says that's cool say haha you've been considering it
