I haven't had ants in my bathroom until this month and they seem to hang around the tub. Is this normal or should I call a bug guy or somethin?

Well if you didnt have them before and you have them now, it is not normal. Home improvement stores and others stores that have a garden center sell pesticides that you can use indoors. Is your house resting on a slab of concrete or is there crawl space underneath? Because if it is the latter you might have to call a the "bug guy". Best of luck to you.....

This isn't normal. Ants are usually looking for food. If they are big black ants, they might be carpenter ants and there might be soggy wood somewhere in your bathroom from moisture or a leak. Carpenter ants chew wood so if that's what they are, you probably want to call the bug guy and also watch where they go or where they are coming from. If they are small ants you might have spilled something to attract them.

Try to figure out what kind of ants they are

We just recently noticed a lot of ants in our bathroom. One day I stood there watching to see where they came from. Turns out they were coming in from a tiny hole in the grout (we have a tile shower). We sealed the hole and have had no problems since. So maybe you could check any grout, weather stripping, or caulking that might be wearing away.

Ants will come in any hole in your house. We had carpenter ants in our bathroom because a skylight leaked on a vaulted ceiling. All the boards got wet. It was a mess.

The first question is why are they there now and were not before. If it dry outside, maybe they came for water. If its cold or rainy outside maybe they came for shelter. If you have mold growing(from moisture)maybe its for food.

If you can figure out why its easier to determine how to get rid of them. Otherwise I just use a mixture of dish soap and water(2-3 tablespoons soap in a Windex size bottle). Ants breath through their shell(skin), soapy water suffocates them.

They'll be ok. Just let them do their thing, and they'll probably leave again once they're done. Unless they're African Killer Ants or something!
Hope you like this antser!
