Man, those would be classic cars now if you had one that ran, especially if it had one of those funky colors like orange or green.

By all means the Pacer, the Gremlin at least got the Gas mileage AMC said it does and the Pacer is practically all Glass in the back side so if you got Shunted. Forget it lol. Me and my uncle used a Gremlin as a hornet in the races and did damn good (Then again everything but the body chassis and seats were replaced) My mom had a Pacer and "Lost" it before it was signed over to her name because she wasn t about to her first car. And lucky her her first car ended up being a 67 Chevelle SS with a 396. (She was 16)

I never had a Pacer, but I did have a 1973 Gremlin that was special ordered; had quick ratio manual steering, heavy duty suspension/handling package, manual disc frnt brakes and custom interior package with bucket seats, roof rack and rear air deflector and the three speed manual transmission with floor shifter (and the dual note horns)! Acutally drove nicely with the heavy duty/handling package suspension (included frnt anti roll bar, stiffer springs and shocks), so it wasn't as floatly on the road as the standard suspension, however, the manual disc brakes took a lot of effort to make the car stop! Drove it alot of miles, in a few years, then sold it. Wish I had it now; 20 gallon tank and 24 mpg with the manual trans at 60 mph, it could go along way.. it be worth just about what I paid for it. Yours probably sucked gas because they had a lot of problems with that Carter YF carb leaking vacuum and coming loose...Oh well, a car nut.

Both are really bad, but I have to go with the Gremlin!

Tough call. They are both butt ugly. I'm going with the Pacer because it is just a little uglier.

Did you by chance watch Pimp My Ride tonight? They had a Pacer on there. To answer your question, I think both are hideous
