In the NFC? No.. They seem to be about even with the Cowboys

The NFL? Well, I've heard of a team that hails from a mythical place known as Beantown, who are giants among men, and haven't lost a game.

Sorry Packers, good team but the Patriots would/will ***** slap them back to Bangkok. I would LOVE payback for Super Bowl XXXI.

Better? Maybe.

The only one team that might be better that comes to mind is the Patriots, but that isn't a sure thing. Here's a convoluted argument for the Packers being the best team right now...

Consider the Colts-Patriots game. The Colts should've won that game. It took some late game heroics to pull that one out for NE. The Colts definately exposed some weaknesses. The Colts lost the game, then turned around and decided to lose to the struggling Chargers. The Chargers themselves lost badly to the Minnesota Vikings last week 17-35. The Packers in turn blew out the Vikings this week 34-0. Also, the Packers beat the Chargers head to head in week 3. So if the Packers are that much better than San Diego and SD beat the Colts, why couldn't the Packers beat the Colts? So...along those lines, if the Packers are better than the Colts proxy the Chargers, and the Colts should have beaten the Patriots, then shouldn't the Packers match up well with the Patriots? Maybe the Packers are the best team in the NFL today after all. Especially since the Packers have found a running game. Don't believe me? They have Ryan Grant who ran for more than 100 yards against Denver. No big deal, right. Denver is last against the rush after all. But this week, Grant ran for over 100 yards against the Vikings. Minnesota is supposed to be great against the run, allowing 70.4 yards total per game. Yet the Packers run all over them. That allowed the Packers offense to control the game for over 40 minutes. Plus, their defense stopped the rookie sensation Adrian Peterson before he got hurt in the third quarter. The Vikings did not convert 1 single 3rd down. I know its the lowly Vikings, but still a great accomplishment considering what Minnesota did to SD last week and what SD did to the Colts this week. Also considering what the Colts did to the Patriots a couple of weeks ago. Maybe the Packers are the best team in the NFL today.

Some people say that Pittsburgh is better than the Packers. How easy it is for them to forget that Denver beat the Steelers at home. Then the following week, the Packers beat them on the same field. The Steelers couldn't even run against the worst rush defense. But the Packers Ryan Grant put up 100 yards. Silly to say that the Steelers are better than the Packers. Pittsburgh is good, but not good enough to win the superbowl. The Packers or Dallas would beat them.

Here's the argument against all this garbage...

The Packers haven't actually played any of these elite teams. They have an easy schedule. The Packers should have lost to the Eagles, Washington and maybe Kansas City and Denver. It could be Detroit winning the division right now.

We'll find out much more about the Packers when they face the Cowboys three weeks from now. But first they must beat Panthers and Lions.

The pats have a slight advantage because of the running game. The packers could beat the Steelers, Boys and Colts. The colts have been really sluggish lately, the Steelers almost lost to the brown and the Boys hasn't played any special team to me but the Pats and Giants.

The Packers are playing better ball to me. But when the Packers running game breaks loose which I think it will from what i've seen these past 2 games, I think they could be the Pats. Plus Favre is better then Brady.

Yes the Pats. Sorry but the Packers lost to the Bears who have been playing less then mediocre. If they can lose a game to a mediocre team (I love my Bears, but it's been true this season), they will never stand up against Braddy, Romo, or Manning.
The Packers are good, but not amazing.

The Packers are 7-1. The Patriots are 8-0, why would you not include the Patriots in your question?
