i know some of you are going to think "good for her!" but why is she doing porn if she is so against it, or it's torture for her? she makes it seem like no woman in the porn industry likes porn, and if they do, they're lying. do you think that's true?

just because she's doing it for the money, doesnt mean all the women in porn industry are doing it for the money, there are women out there who enjoy porn sex.

i think shes nothing but a greedy b*tch to be honest. she has enough money to support herself now, she doesnt need to continue doing porn anymore.

she might not have come out and said she is anti-porn, but that's how she's coming off as. she obviously doesn't want to be there. i dont believe any woman should be there unless she actually enjoys the sex.

Why does she do it then? I have a hard time believing that she is "anti-porn." She's gotten rich and is still making movies.

I find her movies repellent, and her image boring. She's the clone for all of the fake chested, dye-blonde, anorexic, fake tanned porn stars. She looks totally bored on camera and the only time I ever saw Jenna Jamison having sex, I'm pretty sure that I was even more bored than she was.

The great crime of American pornography is not exploitation. It's mediocrity. Sure most mainstream porn is degrading towards women. But it's also mass-produced, totally artificial, and stripped of any sort of eroticism. It's aesthetically BAD before it's morally bad.

Adds: Tera--the political viewpoint that you and I have might be very different, but it cracks me up that our description of modern porn is almost identical.

Im sure there are a lot of porn actresses out there that dont like it. Thats their job. Very few people like working but you do it to survive and to pay the bills. Some bag groceries or data entry, and then others have sex on tape. Just because you're smiling doesnt mean you like it. It just means you're paid to. Its what they feel they have to do to survive. And yes of course there are those that probably do enjoy it but its the whole porn movie industry that gives men such an idealistic view of the perfect partner and women this image we have to live up to.

I don't know about her motives, but information like this is a big reason I ceased to be able to enjoy porn. It's hard to be aroused when you're wondering if the woman is stoned out of her mind, trapped in a situation, acting out of childhood trauma, etc.

EDIT

I recall a single pornstar (her name has escaped me: its been awhile) who I quite enjoyed and who seemed really genuine. And it turned out the she had entered the industry after having been married and divorced, out of "curiosity" and only did it for a few years, but moved on to a dance and singing career when porn got "boring". She said she did it for the fun and based on her performances, I suspect that may be true. But I also am fairly certain she is VERY MUCH the EXCEPTION.

Well, filming a porn is not sex. 5 minutes for this shot, 5 minutes for this shot, stay naked, no lines, quit making that ugly face we gotta start over, I don't care if you pu$$ hurts, we need to wrap this up today... umm, it's tough. Girls go in there thinking it is easy and who would know better whether it is good or not than a porn star. That is why I stick to amateur pornos. :) Just Kidding! But Linda Lovelace, Deepthroat girl was also anti-porn when she got out of it. Not to mention she sold her body to the world.

I think its absolutely stupid and to a great extent, hypocritical. She's become a very wealthy woman from the industry and now that she's rich, she feels suddenly that its immoral? She had no such qualms when she was making movie after movie and recruiting scores of girls to do the same under her guidance! She is such a hypocrite, condemning an industry that she's making millions off of at the same time. If she really felt it was bad, she should have quit a long time ago.

Most of those women who are in porn movies are ACTRESSES...bad actresses, but actresses...of course they want you to think they're enjoying themselves...that's the whole point! You've never noticed that there seems to be things they all do in those movies that they all seem to have in common? Those "looks" they give the guys...the artificially dubbed in sound effects? The fact that almost none of them have "real" boobs? Sad, isn't it. The whole porn-thing is so entirely orchestrated and artificial. Amazing anyone thinks there's anything very real to it. A lot of those women are totally high on drugs, too...same as a lot of the men who are in those movies. No, I doubt they are very happy people. Even if they are good sometimes at faking it. And even if the drugs they're on make it seem as if they are happy in the moment.

I bet most of them look back at their time spent making porn (after they quit doing it) and are thoroughly disgusted with themselves and embarrassed.

Is it really any different than what Traci Lords did once she became successful? She totally walked away from the porn industry.

Why do men continue to think women enjoy being in porn? Can you not accept the fact that it is an act or they are doped up? They have lots of reasons for doing it, but none of them have to do with fun.

It could be that she did this at a young age to make ends meet.
It could be that now that she has a child, she wants something better than what she had.

I think being a porn star is humilating to the human flesh. It is degrading to a woman.

You would have to hit rock bottom to do something like that !
