6. Other.
Our house in Mississippi was
destroyed by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
We lived in parts of the old house,
the best that we could.
My brother came to see how bad things
were and was shocked to see us living
in conditions like that.
He found us this house,
bought it and helped us move into it.
It's really nice to have a big brother
who worries about his family.
Living here is the most wonderful
thing that has happened.

This is going to sound really weird.
I think that although Hurricane Katrina
was the worse natural disaster to hit
the United States; I think it was probably
one of the best things to ever
happen to Mississippi.
This is the first time since the days
before Reconstruction, Mississippi
actually has a chance to better themselves.
Katrina destroyed most of the
sub-standard houses along the coast.
And folks who had worked all their lives
finally had a chance to make their
lives better, some moved away,
some got better jobs, life improved.
We would not be here,
were it not for that hurricane and
the old house that was in our family
for many generations would still be
falling down around us and
no chance to make it better.
