"I became insane with long intervals of horrible sanity."
Edgar Allan Poe

I have had to take a break from R&S, but I am back. I missed all of you, but Mr. Poe hit the nail on the head for me. I am done questioning my sanity. I came from a long line of loons, but I am perfectly content belonging to a peculiar people. I think you understand.

I recall hearing about at least one, but I can't cite cases. But it wasn't that they were proven not insane, it was that the insanity plea didn't work, and they were proven guilty of the crime. Juries are not perfect and all knowing, but most jurors are not fools, so those faking insanity will fail at least some of the time.

lol All the time. The insanity is how sane I am through all kinds of problems and crises until it's over. I analyze myself maybe too much, but I can't help it. When I broke my back I analyzed everything I was experiencing. Yes, I have to question my insanity. Sometimes it goes too far. hehe

If my question won't post within 1/2 hour, I'll re-ask it...probably changing the wording a bit...so people can't say it's EXACTLY the same question.

I've determined that I'm eccentric, not insane.

Too many times I've been right on the border of sanity, but family and friends interviened and got me back on the right course.

Spouse says - Nope, insanity has no authority over him, so he doesn't question it. He only questions authority.

Yeah, and I didn't like the response that I got, either. Insanity is having a teenager in the house.

I try to avoid having ANY sort of converstaion with my insanity at all. Beisde, my insanity's part of the conversation is just CRAZY, and doesn't make any sense.

I won't go there, and I shouldn't have touched this question with a ten foot pole, It's only the sane people who are willing to admit they're crazy !.

Yes I have questioned my insanity and you know what it told me?
It told me that it's there to make things more interesting because..... Variety is the spice of the life.
