now i think he's a great guy and all that as a cowboys fan when he was a oc in dallas during the dynasty days he holds a specail place but this team just looks average for a team with this kind of talent is suprising if they we're going to fire marty why did they wait until after all the 31 other teams had established their coaching staffs and took the chargers assistants as well, if he is gone who'll be realistically the next coach?

Yes fire Turner, then bring in the big name coach like Cowher or Parcells. Could you imagine what those guys could do with a team like the Chargers. That is the only thing you can do when you fire a guy like Marty. They took a step back in the coaching ladder by having Turner come in, he is a nice Offensive Coordinator not a head coach. And by have Turner come in has really hindered Rivers' development. Turner tried to be cute and make this a pass first offense early on, he got away from LT and only now is he starting to realize that that was the wrong option.

the fee of season tickets have long gone up 60% over the final 4 years. 4-12 communities do no longer sell out stadiums and the 14-2 one final season made this accessible. it ought to no longer be trouble-free after 4 video games however the team has regarded lost, Rivers has taken a step backwards and Norv is the top coach. Chargers can possibly lose 3 greater video games this season and nevertheless make the playoffs that's particularly the only objective right here. If he loses to Denver and Oakland over the subsequent 2 weekends he must be fired on the morning of the fifteenth.

If the Chargers will fire Marty after a 14-2 season for not winning in the playoffs, you can guarantee they wont care to fire Norv for what the Chargers have done this season. I think the only way for him to stay would be to atleast get to the AFC championship and lose barely or something like that. Good question by the way!

Look for San Diego to give Turner 2 or 3 years to make it to the Super Bowl or be fired. They are clearly not ready for prime time. The best keys of their defense are starring in Foxboro (Harrison and Seau).
