Great bike, some say the perfect sport bike, but most definitely not a starter/beginner bike. The GSX-R 750 has around 130 Horsepower on a 440 pound (fully fueled) frame, compare that to a 130 HP Civic weighing 2800 pounds. 1st you need to get your motorcycle license, take a motorcycle safety course. Then buy a mid-size non-race bike like a Ninja 500 or GSXF 650, both will be alot of fun with plenty of quickness for a newbie without arm ripping power and much lower insurance premiums not to mention initial purchase price too. With any motorcycle you should wear helmet, gloves, jacket, pants and sturdy shoes as a minimum every time you ride.

You have got to be kidding!!

No way.... YOU WILL DIE is that clear enough for you?

If you get such a bike, keeping in mind you will die, you will also have an extremely hard time insuring this bike given that you have ZERO riding experience.

You need to get a slow little bike to practice on for a minimum of six months, my advice. Even then the jump to a 750 will be an extremely dangerous jump.

Please take the advice you receive here seriously. I doubt anobody will disagree with me on this one.

No. Way too fast for a first bike.

If you do, buy and use your helmet and leathers ALL the time. $400 leathers and a $200 helmet are cheaper than one trip to the ER. Take it slow and easy. Find a local course that helps new riders ( usually at the local college). Mentally prepared yourself to watch everything as no one sees a motorcycle.

NOT a good idea. it is a great bike but not for a beginner. you need to develop some basic skills before you tackle a hard edged bike like that. i suggest an SV650.
