Figure out the lenght of the dust ruffle. Three sides and bottom. Then figure out how often you want the pleats to be and how deep the pleats will be. Example 15 pleats two inches deep = 15X4= 60 inches of extra material. Does this help? By four would be back across the material, [2 inches] then back again [another 2 inches] to continue to where you want the next pleat.
