I still get suprised, just randomly answering questions then "+10 points!". I especially get suprised when I get best answers when it's by vote.

Yea, so do you get suprised too?

Chunga: Seems like I'm doing even worse in Darth's question. I gave you a thumbs up though, great answer!

Tomorrow's a holiday for me too, but I have to wake up early to visit colleges but staying up for one last listen to Inside. Is it just me or do I need a password each time I want to listen?

LOL, That's funny because I just received a best answer today for a question I answered 7 months ago!
How crazy is that?
What is your longest time to receive one?

I always answer with what I truly believe, and sometimes I get thumbs down. I could really care less about getting best answers, though it is nice. Though many times I'll answer a question with something that I'd think would warrant 10 thumbs down, and the next day I take best answer! My "rock and roll zombies" movie idea is a good example...thanks ''deathbycarrots'.
I just checked my answer to Darth's question, "Why Do So Many People Want To Be Sheep And Follow The Herd?", and I'm not making too many friends there either...oh no, what will I do...haaa! Time for another beer, tomorrows a holiday here!

Sarah C - Maybe it depends on whether you save it to a zip file, or disc. I select disc, and I've never had a problem. What type of media player are you using?(not that that really matters). The only blog out of the dozen or so that I use that asks for a password is that sakilli blog.
'Inside' is a great album, but I think you'll enjoy 'Floating' even more!

Yes, I do because I do not think about the points that I could get when I answer a question. The important benefits, for me, are:
1) A good answer that is easier to understand it is good for the asker
2) I improve my communication skills and exercise my memory by bringing up some old stuff that I have learned.
3) It is part of my many hobbies list.
4) Everyone knows something about a subject. So, I also learn with answers of others for the same question that I have answered.

Get best answer? At times I'm surprised I can complete a full sentence, let alone get a best answer!

But yes, there's a lot of knowledgable & informed folks in the R & P section so anytime I can get the best answer it proves to be a pleasant surprise.

Edit: I agree with Dan C, it's nice to know you're helping to spread the knowledge as knowledge is king.

Yes :)

Especially when I've felt there were far better answers than mine.

And on the ones that were voted, I'm often surprised if I've had 2 or 3 votes, because it makes me wonder who liked my answer enough to vote for it.

And thumbs up are always a great surprise :)

Yep, especially because the best answers I get are often on the answers I did quickly. The funny thing is, I've been here nearly a year longer than you and you have more best answers than I have answers!

But I always feel happy when I get a best answer, especially when it was a really long answer. Makes it feel worth it. Plus it's nice helping people out.

Yes. It is like a sigh of relief.

But it doesnt compare with the feeling of getting a lot of thumbs up!

Ah we def. spend too much time here ... oh well

Pleasantly surprised, yes...everytime.

As nice as it is I think I almost prefer to get several thumbs up on an answer more. Not that it's happened - but it makes me feel like my sick little mind comments reached enough people : )
