For me, it's my 1957 Fender Stratocaster. For my best musician friend, it's his 1956 Gibson Les Paul TV Model. He's got me, in that fewer of the Les Pauls are avalable in playable condition. Sill, I think the answer to your second question is "no"...is the "Holy Grail" THE Strat that George Harrison played at The Concert For Bangladesh? Is it the remains of the one Hendrix set fire to at Monterray? Is it a BB King "Lucile"? To each his own, I say...just keep on playin'!
and...1867?! Gimme a break!

The Gibson Les Paul or the Fender Stratocaster. Personaly I like the Les Paul better because the "Srat's" shape is a bit sterotypical for elec. guitars.

Martin, Guild and Gibson are considered the top 3. Fender ranks pretty high in electric guitars.

gibson les paul. i forget the year but i think it's the sunburst color. do a search for electric guitars on ebay then sort out the resulting list by price. you'll see what i'm talking about. the one in question i saw was like 80 thousand dollars. mint condition. my mouth watered for days. lol.
