quote from the movie INHERIT THE WIND:
"Brady, Brady, Brady, almighty. God speaks to Brady, and Brady tells the world." In the movie, it was prosecuting attorney Matthew Harrison Brady being spoken about. The quote was spoken by defense attorney Henry Drummond in court during the trial.
In the NFL---well, you know !!

New England was already a playoff team when Brady took over. Indy sucked when Peyton got there (that's how they were able to get him with the 1st pick) Two years after he got there he passed for over 4,000 yards and 26 touchdown passes and the team earned a first round bye as the AFC's second seed with a 13-3 record. They lost to the Titans in the playoffs. Also, Brady's first season as a starter was his "second" in the league. That helps his learning curve little bit. Let's get this straight before I go on. Tom Brady is a sick quarterback. I think he already belongs in talks of the greatest of all time. I mean the kid won 21 straight games (something you forgot to mention). But Manning belongs among the top QBs also. Tom Brady isn't 6-3 against Manning. To the best of my knowledge they have never been on the field at the same time. This isn't basketball this is football. The ultimate team sport. Tom Brady is 6-3 against the Colts. Here are some stats (records) for Manning that you left out. Seasons with 4,000+ yards: 7, 1999–2004, 2006 Consecutive seasons with 4,000+ yards: 6, from 1999–2004 Consecutive seasons with 25+ TD passes: 9, from 1998-2006 (current) Games with perfect passer rating: 4 (includes 1 playoff game; most perfect games of any QB since passer rating was created by the NFL in 1973) Manning has started his every NFL game, (currently 144 games), the longest career-opening streak for a QB. Set NFL record for most completions in a single post-season (97) during the 2006/2007 post-season. I fully appreciate how good Brady is. But please show Peyton Manning some respect. After both their careers are over we can judge them. Until then it doesn't make sense to compare them.

The stats do not hold favor for the Colts true, but you cannot really compare the quarterbacks right now with as many injuries the Colts offense (and now defense) have sustained. I don't think it is that the Colts rely on Harrison, Clark, and certain Offensive linement too much, but it is that Manning (and the few left of the starting lineup) are used to their presence.
In my opinion, the fact that the Colts could hang on, with 15, yes 15! offensive players, and give the Chargers a near upset (missed by mere inches) is truly a testimony to the greatness of the Colts. Their innovative lineups and meticulous breakdown of plays pushes them just as much as the quality of the players. Unfortunately, the Pats lack the devotion put forth by the Colts, symbolized by the complete control the Colts had over the Patriots when they had so many offensive injuries. It's a shame the Patriots are too big-headed to step outside themselves and look at it from a different perspective, or they would see how easily the Colts could beat them in the playoffs, which if the Patriots make it that far, it WILL happen!
There, I got it off my chest, chew on that for a while.

dont bother even trying to make that point. ive tried myself but nobody around the country is ever going to give brady any credit for what happens on the field. it will always be because of the wr's or the o line or a weak schedule or he's cheating. people just dont like him and hate the patriots and meanwhile manning and the colts are hero's to them all because they know that they are the only ones that can take brady and the patriots down. im sure you will get a lot of brady/patriots hate talk on this one but whatever. i've stopped paying attention to all the haters out there.

Yeah, if you call playing dirty better. The Pats tripped the Colts twice in the last game, oh and punched them. Plus Manning is the most charitable person with his money, we love him b/c he is a good person and a good player. Not just cause he is "hot" dates a supermodel and is good. Don't get me wrong, Brady is a great player, but person...not so much.
No excuses. Manning played poorly and Veneteri missed a crucial kick, but they had a hell of a comeback. Reminds me of another comeback last week.....only that one worked out a little better. However the Colts came back with over 10 pts. Please the Colts are still good.
And if the Colts are so bad and Braddy so amazing, why did the Colts go to the Super Bowl last year? One season, does not make a good player, just like one game doesn't make a bad player. Everyone has ups and downs.
To Red Sox Fan:
Um...they are famous. All the money they spend and all the time they spend with charities can be found online. Oh and actually, my dad knows Manning so....
*Edit* Wow you are uptight and rather rude. Anyways he's a friend. ie...dinners, functions, vacations.

I'm a big pats fan and brady fan.
But I think it's a toss-up between Brady and Manning as to who is better. There are so many factors that make it hard to compare them equally. Manning was better last year but Brady is better this year.
And Brady has three superbowl rings.

Tom Brady has been without receivers and only won 3 rings, now he has receivers and his numbers are staggering. Payton Manning has always had weapons, now he gets a taste of what tom had to live with and hes not doing so good, 6 interceptions wow..........

Wrong answer once the Colts become healthy they will spank the Patriots. Just think once Harrison comes back it was fun while it lasted with the Brady bunch

it was obvious after the pats won their first super bowl, so hell yeah it's obvious now. the pats will go 19-0, brady walks away with the MVP, and the pats get 4th overall draft pick (because they have the 49ers draft pick. spygate cost them their own pick, not the 49ers pick). GO PATS!
EDIT - whoever answered first is an idiot and a dumbass. don't tell me that manning is a better person than brady because you don't know either one of them. OH YOUR DAD KNOWS MANNING? WHAT, IS HE A COUSIN? A BEST FRIEND? GETTING HIS AUTOGRAPH IS A LITTLE DIFFERENT THAN KNOWING HIM.
