We should call it by its real term. Cock is degrading. If we keep this up with relating normal stuff with sexual terms, the words we can use might get limited. I can't crow like a rooster anymore. Niether can I use the term: cockroach.

One of the definitions of '****' is "A tilting or jaunty turn upward" so one could assume since an erect penis also turns upward (perhaps jauntily) that this is where the slang came from. Might also have to do with guns, since you once had to '****' before firing.
